About the Work
The photographic series originated as part of an artistic research project focused on documentation and gradually evolved into an autonomous body of work. Its starting point lies in an examination of irritation within the relationship between nature and artificial intervention. The work centers on bee colonies that respond to artificial flowers as if they were genuine sources of nourishment.
The images present scenes that appear familiar and natural at first glance. Only upon closer inspection does a subtle disturbance emerge. The artificial flowers are intentionally designed to be indistinguishable from real ones for the bees. This discrepancy between perception and reality produces a moment of doubt: everything seems coherent, yet something is off. The series addresses questions of deception, adaptation, and the increasing indistinguishability between natural and artificial environments, inviting viewers to critically reflect on their own habits of seeing.
